Jeff Fowler is a director of animated/live-action features based on Sega’s video game characters, starring Sonic the Hedgehog, and produced and released by Paramount Pictures in partnership with Sega Sammy Group. Fowler’s feature debut as a director was Sonic the Hedgehog (2020), starring the voices of Ben Schwartz (as Sonic), Colleen O’Shaughnessy, and Donna J. Fulks, and the live-action cast of James Marsden, Jim Carrey, and Neal McDonough, and which grossed $320 million on a $90 million budget.
Fowler directed the successful sequel, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2022), with the original cast reprising their roles along with new cast member Idris Elba, with returns totaling $405.4 million against $110 million costs. Fowler was director and executive producer on the third movie in the Sonic series, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (2024), with the original cast returning and joined by newbie cast mates Krysten Ritter and Keanu Reeves.

Jeff Fowler was born and raised in Normal, Illinois, by his parents. Fowler attended and graduated from Ringling College of Art and Design.
