Myha’la (birthname: Myha’la Herrold) is best known for her role as Harper Stern in HBO’s hit show, Industry (2020-present), and landed her first feature film role in director/co-writer/producer Rashaad Ernesto Green’s romantic drama, Premature (2019), co-written by and starring Zora Howard, Joshua Boone, Imani Lewis and Tashiana Washington, premiering at the Sundance Film Festival and released by IFC Films. Myha’la had her first prominent big-screen role in the ensemble of the hit Halina Reijn-directed horror comedy, Bodies Bodies Bodies (2022), written by Sarah DeLappe, co-starring Amandla Stenberg, Maria Bakalova, Chase Sui Wonders, Rachel Sennott, Lee Pace, and Pete Davison, produced by 2 AM and released to excellent box office (based on estimated costs) by A24 (U.S.)/Stage 6 Films-Sony Pictures Releasing International (International).
Myha’la joined another ensemble in director/producer Craig Gillespie’s comedy-drama, Dumb Money (2023), based on Ben Mezrich’s 2021 The Antisocial Network, co-starring Paul Dano, Pete Davidson, Vincent D’Onofrio, America Ferrera, Nick Offerman, Anthony Ramos, Sebastian Stan, Shailene Woodley and Seth Rogen, launching at the Toronto Film Festival and losing money for Columbia Pictures/Sony Pictures Releasing (based on estimated costs) with a $20.7 million gross. Myha’la was cast in an above-the-title role alongside Julia Roberts (who also produced), Mahershala Ali, and Ethan Hawke in director/writer/producer Sam Esmail’s apocalyptic thriller, Leave the World Behind (2023), based on Rumaan Alam’s 2020 novel, with Kevin Bacon, and which was theatrically released and streamed by Netflix.
Myha’la had a major role in the Gus Van Sant-directed true crime thriller, Dead Man’s Wire (2025), starring Bill Skarsgård, Dacre Montgomery, Cary Elwes, Colman Domingo and Al Pacino, written by Austin Kolodney, premiering out of competition at the Venice Film Festival and released wide by Row K Entertainment to a poor $2.2 million gross (based on estimated costs). Personal life
Myha’la was born and raised in San Jose, California, by her Jamaican-born father and mother, Susan. sister brother. Myha’la attended and graduated from Archbishop Mitty High School in 2014. Myha’la then studied drama at the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama, from which she graduated in 2018. Myha’la has been married to actor Armando Rivera since 2025. Myha’la’s height is 5’ 1”.
