Stephanie Hsu (birthname: Stephanie Ann Hsu) is part of a rising generation of Asian American comic actors, regularly appearing in features, shorts, and guest TV series spots since her debut in the Chinese series Dandelion in 2004.
Hsu made a striking appearance in Disney’s first feature starring an Asian cast and a major box office hit, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021), even while she was part of the ensemble of the third (2019) season of the hit Amazon series, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel in the role of Mei.
Hsu appeared opposite Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, James Hong, and Jamie Lee Curtis in a universally acclaimed and lauded supporting performance (earning her a Best Supporting Actress Oscar nomination) in The Daniels’ Best Picture Oscar-winning Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022).
Hsu co-starred in the voice cast of Netflix’s animated The Monkey King (2023), with BD Wong, Bowen Yang, and Hoon Lee; Hsu’s next Netflix project was a co-starring role in the Adam Sandler-produced and starring animated musical, Leo (2023). Stephanie Hsu joined the raucous cast of the acclaimed female-led comedy hit, Joy Ride (2023), directed, co-written, and co-produced by Adele Lim, and co-starring Ashley Park, Sherry Cola, and Sabrina Wu, and which was released by Lionsgate.
Hsu had a major supporting role opposite Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Winston Duke in Universal Pictures’ big-screen version of the hit TV series, The Fall Guy (2024), directed and co-produced by David Leitch.
