Tyriq Withers (birthname: Tyriq Leshon Withers) had been a busy actor in short films and episodic series (such as Atlanta (2022) and Hulu’s Tell Me Lies (2022), and had his significant feature debut as an actor in the remake of the 1991 movie, Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead (2024), co-starring Simone Joy Jones, Patricia “Ms. Pat” Williams, Jermaine Fowler, June Squibb and Nicole Richie under Wade Allain-Marcus’ direction, and released by Iconic Events Releasing.
Withers was a key part of the ensemble of the sequel and fourth edition in the series, I Know What You Did Last Summer (2025), directed and co-written by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson and co-starring Madelyn Cline, Chase Sui Wonders, Jonah Hauer-King, Sarah Pidgeon, Freddie Prinze Jr. and Jennifer Love Hewitt, released by Sony Pictures Releasing/Columbia Pictures/Screen Gems to a $64.7 million return for $18 million costs.
Withers landed his first starring role in director/co-writer Justin Tipping’s sports-horror movie with lead producer Jordan Peele, Him (2025), co-starring Marlon Wayans, Julia Fox, Tim Heidecker, and Jim Jefferies, and which was released wide by Universal Pictures. Withers was the co-star of the Vanessa Caswill-directed Colleen Hoover movie adaptation, Reminders of Him (2026), starring Maika Monroe, Rudy Pankow, Lauren Graham, and Bradley Whitford, and released by Universal Pictures.
Withers co-starred in the revenge thriller, Family Secrets (date to be announced), co-starring Eric Dane, Hermione Corfield, Maia Mitchell, and Thomas Doherty under Malik Vitthal’s direction, co-written by Adrienne Love, Mark Townend, and Shanrah Wakefield, and which was produced by Ace Entertainment.
Personal life
Tyriq Withers was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, by his parents, Leon and Kimberly. Withers has a sister, Cayla, and a brother, Kionte, who died in 2021. Withers attended and graduated with a B.A. in Business and Marketing in 2022 from Florida State University, where he performed in plays and played wide receiver on the 2017 Florida State Seminoles football team. Withers’s height is 6’ 5”.
