Plot Summary
- In 2015, Raj Randhir Bakshi (Shah Rukh Khan) is a garage owner, specializing in fixing luxury cars. Veer (Varun Dhawan) is his younger brother and Raj loves him above all else. Veer is a bit of a flirt. Veer helps a girl named Ishita (her Scooty had broken down and she needed to visit the municipal office urgently to file papers for a permit to open a restaurant) and damages the car of a customer in the process. To discipline him, Raj makes Veer fix the car at night. Anwar (Pankaj Tripathi) and Shakti (Mukesh Tiwari) are Raj's right-hand men. While Sidhu (Varun Sharma) is Veer's friend.Ishita brings her Scooty to the garage to get it fixed. To gain sympathy, Veer narrates how his elder brother thrashed him for damaging the car. Veer says that he wanted to study, but Raj squandered all his education money on his mistress Uma Bai. But then Veer sees that Raj has heard everything and begs Ishita to leave.Veer falls asleep while fixing the car and wakes up to find that the car's sound system has been stolen. Sidhu is stealing car parts from Raj's garage to sell to Oscar Bhai (Sanjay Mishra). He is using the money to date his girlfriend Jenny (Chetna Pande), who (unknown to Sidhu) is Oscar Bhai's sister.Veer goes to deliver Ishita's (Kriti Sanon) Scooty at her home and falls in love with her. Raj meets Ishita and also approves of her. Veer tells Ishita that Raj really loves him and had lied to her earlier.Veer takes Ishita to Jenny's birthday party. Veer resists King (Boman Irani) & his men selling drugs in local hang out joints. Veer soon gets into a tussle with "King", a drug baron, whose henchmen threatened Ishita. In return, he is brutally beaten up by King's goons and lands in the hospital. Raj learns about this and thrashes the gang members, with the help of his friends Shakti and Anwar.Raj, Anwar & Shakti set fire to his entire cache of drugs. Raj gives his name as Kaali, before exiting the scene. But Raj acts very calm, almost coward, in his garage owner life. Raj's humbleness convinces King that he is harmless and makes a deal to fix their car in exchange for their safety and protection.In flashback it is revealed that 15 years ago (in the year 2000) in Bulgaria, there were 2 rival crime families. Dev Malik (Kabir Bedi) and Randhir Bakshi (Vinod Khanna) are the 2 rival bosses. Raj is Randhir's son. Raj meets & falls in love with Meera Dev Malik (Kajol), without realizing that she is Dev's daughter. Raj reveals some business secrets to Meera, which she uses ruthlessly to stop Raj's business deals. Raj is devastated to know that Meera is Dev's daughter.Meera spares Kaali's life as it was her birthday. Kaali confronts Meera, chases her car and saves her life when she almost falls off a cliff. Kaali tells her not to see him again. But Meera now falls in love with Raj & convinces him of it. They get together & decide to tell their respective fathers. Raj is worried that Dev might not trust his intentions. Meera tells Raj that she will shoot him, if he betrays her.Randhir gives his blessing to Raj & Meera. But Dev, while agreeing with Meera, plans an ambush for Randhir & Raj, when Meera is away. In the ensuing shootout, Dev & Randhir kill each other. Meera believes that Raj has betrayed her. Meera shoots Raj, believing that he shot Dev (in reality Randhir had shot Dev). Raj survives, but by then Meera had left the country.In the present day, Ishita & Veer approach Raj for his blessings, which he gives. He wants to meet Ishita's parents & realizes that Meera is Ishita's elder sister. Meera absolutely refuses to accept Ishita's relationship with Veer. Veer & Ishita can't figure out the exact story of their past. Veer and Sidhu try to confront Raj's friends Shakti (Siddhu's brother) and Anwar. They cook up a ridiculous story that Raj was a washer-man named "Ramlal" and Meera was named "Pogo", who left him for money. Veer & Ishita figure that Raj & Meera used to have the hots for each other. The decide to rekindle this relationship for the sake of their own.In the middle of all this Sidhu steals King's car & hides it inside the garage (Veer knows about this). The car again had King's drugs in it, Which Veer decides to burn. King's men decide to sell drugs via Meera's restaurant. When she resists, they man-handle her. Raj steps in & again beats King's men up.Veer modifies King's car & Sidhu sells it to Oscar. Oscar finally finds that Sidhu is Jenny's boyfriend. He is opposed to their relationship, when Raj steps in and says that theirs is a respectable family & Oscar is lucky to find a boy like Sidhu, whom he considers his own brother. Meera forbids Ishita to meet Veer, & Ishita agrees, but says that she will never marry anyone else. Upon realizing Ishita loves Veer deeply, Meera issues an ultimatum that Veer must move in with Meera in order to marry Ishita, leaving Raj in the process.Enraged, Veer proceeds to storm out and Meera tries to drive a wedge between Veer & Raj, by telling Veer that Raj is actually Randhir's adopted son and not Veer's biological brother. Raj confirms this and embraces Veer.Raj confronts Meera and convinces her that he never shot her father dead. Meera gets her own confirmation of this from one of her dad's henchmen, who says that he did not tell the truth earlier as Dev Malik had told him not to.Meera takes Ishita to Raj's house, declaring that Veer can live with Raj and Ishita after marriage and Meera apologizes to Raj. At Siddhu and Jenny's wedding in a church, King finds his car, which is being used as a wedding car, and brings Mani, Oscar and Veer, demanding to know about his drugs. King loses his temper after learning what happened and a fight ensues in which Raj reveals himself as Kaali and thrashes King. King tries to kill Raj, but Meera takes the bullet and King is beaten by Raj's friends. Meera is admitted to the hospital, where she recovers and reunites with Raj.
Storyline
- Raj is a Mafia member. One day he meets a girl (Meera) while being chased by his rival gang and falls in love with her. Later he finds out that this girl is the daughter of the leader of his rival gang. Yet their love story continues until he was shot by his girlfriend upon a deep misunderstanding. After that incident these two lovers live separate until their siblings fall in love. With this new love story their paths intertwines again. In Goa Raj Bakshi lives with his brother Veer Bakshi and work as car modifiers where Veer catches eye of Ishita a drug lord King and his men want to spread their business in night life and threaten Ishita where they get bashed by Veer.The next day Kings goon return back and revenge on Veer,Raj finds out about King's men and bashes them left right and tells them he is Kaali while next day when King meets Raj he to suspects him to be Kaali.The story unfolds 15 years back in Bulgaria where Raj was known as Kaali and operated with his step father a gangster Randhir Bakshi while Veer was a kid they had rivalry with another gangster Dev Malik and were thirsty for each others blood.Raj met Meera around that time and both fell in love,Meera betrayed Raj as she was doing it on the advise of his father Dev Malik,soon they both realize their love and want their respective fathers to meet but the meet turns into bloodbath where Randhir and Malik shoot each other.Raj and Meera never meet again but in present day when Raj decides to meet Ishita's sister for Veer's wedding he finds that she is none other then Meera. — alex.mjacko@gmail.com
